Our Waste Crime Conference and Networking Event will be taking place at

Our Waste Crime Conference and Networking Event 2024 has been accredited by The CPD Group, the largest and most trusted accreditation body in the UK. This means you can rest assured that our event is of the highest quality. You will also be able to collect CPD credits and a free certificate upon attendance.
Our conference has been designed for Police, Fire, Environment Agency, Housing and Local Authority investigators, enforcement officers, intelligence officers, community wardens, team leaders and managers working within the waste crime sector. This also includes anyone involved in the investigation, reporting, budget setting and tackling of fly tipping, duty of care, waste carrying and scrap metal offences.

Explaining the Home Office Serious and Organised Crime Strategy
The aim of this input is to provide a broad understanding of how the UK approaches the issue of Organised Crime and simplify key concepts such as the 4 P's [Pursue, Protect, Prevent and Prepare], Disruptions, Lead Responsible Officers and Clear, Hold, Build among others.

Andrew served in the fire and rescue service for over thirty years, during which he represented the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) on the Waste Industry Safety and Health Forum (WISH) waste fires working group. He is also a lead member of the NFCC waste fires group assisting in design

Using Intelligence to Tackle Waste Crime
Lucy is the Lead Intelligence Analyst and has worked on various projects relating to organised waste crime.
Lucy will be exploring the importance of intelligence use and reporting within waste crime and how to run successful intelligence partnerships.
Organised Crime Groups Moving into the UK Waste Sector
Kevin will be exploring how organised crime groups have moved into the UK wsste sector, how the Joint Unit for Waste Crime (JUWC) was set up to tackle serious and organised crime across multi-agency areas, and how we are all in this together to tackle the problem.
