We can assist with writing these policies or procedures for your organisation, or we can review your existing policies or procedure to ensure that they can stand up to scrutiny. 

A good enforcement strategy will assist your organisation in ensuring that any decisions to take enforcement action are justfied and proprotionate. It will also assist in ensure that you and your organsation can be held accountable for the action you decide to take.

Whilst we are unable to provide legal advice we are able to assist with investigative case reviews to identify any further reasonable lines of enquiry. We are able to assist from an independent perspective to review your case with you to help with any further investigative actions that may be needed. We are expert investigators and have built hundreds, if not thousands, of case files from our years of experience within the police and local authority settings. We are able to take the administrative burden of case file preparation away from your investigators so that they can use their skills elsewhere in relation to other investigations.

Our prosecution file and related support service aims to be cost neutral to your organisation with all costs being recovered by your organisation at court.

We understand the importance of having accurate transcripts as part of legal proceedings. We are able to provide transcript writing dependant on your needs. This can be from a 24 hour turnaround to a maximum of two weeks depending on your needs.

We have expert Disclosure Officers amongst our team and are able to advise and assist on the preparation of disclosure strategies and schedules as part of criminal investigations. 

We are also in a position to accept requests for fly tipping investigation servies. All investigations will be considered on a case by case basis. We will conduct all reasonable lines of enquiry, obtain witness statements, conduct PACE interviews and compile the full prosecution file which will then be sent back to your authority to prosecute.

As experts in investigating waste crime we are in a position to provide investigation plans for officers. This will involve a full review of your matter to identify further lines of enquiry.

We have experts in scrap metal investigation and enforcement within our team. One of our experts has previously provided case studies to the Local Government Association in relation to best practice when taking enforcement action against scrap metal dealers.

We understand that resources are stretched, however there is a duty placed on local authorities to ensure dealers within their areas are complying with the legislation. Therefore, we are able to assist in a contractor capacity with conducting compliance checks at scrap metal dealers within your district. We also provide on site training on these to officers so they can understand what things to look out for and consider when completing these checks.

We are able to assist with trade waste inspections with businesses within your district to ensure they are complying with their duty of care in respect of waste.

These compliance checks are crucial to ensure that the business is ensuring the correct storgae, transfer and disposal of its waste and reduce incidents of fly tipping. 

We are in a position to assist as an independent chair for partnership meetings relating to waste crime investigations. As experienced investigators within the waste crime area, and experience as a Lead Responsible Officer for an organised waste crime group, we have significant experience in successfully developing partnerships and managing such meetings.
