These courses have all been designed to be 80% practical when delivered. With every individual having a different way of learning we feel it is important to provide courses that are suitable for all learning styles.
In these courses, attendees will 'learn by doing'. We've created various real life scenarios for individuals to consider which are specific to the topic area. Our expert trainers will be on-site to offer guidance, support, and practical advice throughout the learning process.
We've had amazing feedback from these courses with some describing them as "the best course I've ever attended".
Because of the highly interactive and practical nature of these courses, they are exclusively available for in-person delivery.
In this two-day course we look at the practical aspects of conducting a criminal investigation. Attendees will be presented with a scenario and will need to consider what evidence and exhibits to gather, how that evidence is recorded, managed and presented throughout the investigation, which witnesses need to be spoken to and finally conduct an interview with a suspect.
In this one-day course we look at the types of evidence that can be gathered throughout the course of an investigation. Attendees will need to consider what material is evidence or exhibits, what type of evidence is being gathered and how it can then be used within investigations and subsequent legal proceedings. However, your first PACE interview doesn’t have to be a nerve-wracking experience. We have designed this course to increase confidence for officers involved in interviewing suspects.
Attendees will consider a scenario relevant to their role and undertake a full interview plan. Attendees may be faced with various situations from their suspect and will be expected to deal with these appropriately.

We can also combine this course with our 'A Practical Look at Completing Prosecution Files' course to make this a one-day practical session.
In this half-day course attendees will be presented with evidence gathered as part of an investigation. Individuals will be required to review the evidence gathered to then create a full prosecution file (excluding disclosure) using the MG forms (we are also able to use your organisations own prosecution file forms to tailor this to you).

In order to effectively investigate instances of fly tipping we know that it is crucial that fly tipping scenes are correctly examined for evidence and all relevant lines of enquiry are completed.
We offer three different courses in relation to this:
Our half-day course provides attendees with the opportunity to consider a fly tipping scene to identify and gather evidence from it.
Our one-day course provides attendees with the opportunity to gather evidence and exhibits from a fly tipping scene before then considering all other available lines of enquiry.
Our two-day course provides a start to end process of conducting a fly tipping investigation. We examine a scene, look at lines of enquiry available and if witnesses or suspects are identified then we will look at how we can succesfully interview them to gather the best possible evidence.
This half-day course will look at the ways in which we can investigate commercial duty of care offences. Looking at various scenarios, attendees will need to consider what offences may have been committed based on the evidence available to them. We will examine lines of enquiry and look at how to take informal and formal action to tackle these issues.
This half-day course will require attendees to consider scenarios involving both licensed and unlicensed dealers to determine suitable lines of enquiry and action which may need to be taken in order to acheive compliance or undertake enforcement action.
