Course Information:
If you are involved in the deployment or use of overt CCTV as part of criminal investigations, then there are several legal requirements you need to comply with. Evidence gathered from CCTV must also be downloaded, handled, and managed correctly throughout the course of the investigation and any subsequent legal proceedings. The download and processing of CCTV is a Forensic Science Activity and therefore careful consideration must be given to ensure that evidence can be used by your own and other organisations as part of criminal proceedings.
This one-day course covers the legislation, completing DPIA's, factors to consider when deploying CCTV, and managing the evidence gathered from such deployments correctly.
This course will be delivered by Sarah Bradley who has over 15 years’ experience as a criminal investigator within the police and a local authority. Sarah has a vast amount of experience in conducting criminal investigations and has received multiple commendations from the police for the standard of her investigations and work to tackle organised crime groups. Sarah has regularly deployed overt CCTV cameras as part of investigations and used the evidence gathered to enable successful prosecutions of various offences.
The course can be delivered both virtually and in person.
