The new Consumer Standards for Social Housing aim to ensure that tenants have a safe, secure and well-maintained home with support from their landlord. Within the four key standards is the ‘Neighbourhood and Community Standard’. This CPD accredited course will provide an understanding of the offences, the roles and responsibilities, and actions that can be taken to prevent, reduce and tackle these types of anti-social behaviour.

Within the Neighbourhood and Consumer Standard, one of the required outcomes for registered providers is to ensure that the safety of shared spaces is maintained. This means working cooperatively with tenants, other landlords and relevant organisations to ensure the safety of shared spaces.
Shared spaces can be negatively affected by waste crime. In this half-day course we will consider what constitutes waste crime, what a shared space is, relevant organisations and how to set up strong partnership working groups.
This half-day CPD accredited course will provide details on the legislation, including key case law, surrounding fly tipping and householder duty of care. It will provide delegates with investigative tactics and would benefit those involved in the investigation and enforcement of fly tipping and householder duty of care.

This half-day CPD accredited course will look at the responsibilities held by businesses in relation to the legal storage and disposal of commercial waste. Delegates will also be provided with information in relation to powers available to require information to be produced in accordance with legislation.

This one-day CPD accredited course will look at the changes made to the legislation surrounding scrap metal, the administration of licences, offences that can be committed and enforcement action that can be taken.

We know that attending a site and knowing what to look for and what questions to ask can be daunting. We are able to assist with on-site training to assist officers in conducting compliance checks or investigations.
This two-day course looks at ways investigators can effectively investigate waste crime including littering, domestic waste, fly tipping, duty of care, scrap metal, and unlicensed waste collectors.
This course will cover the legislation, powers available and investigatory techniques that can be used to tackle waste crime effectively
Those who are involved in waste crime are at risk of having their vehicle seized. This course will provide further information on the powers available to officers in relation to seizing vehicles which are involved in fly tipping or breaching duty of care legislation.
This half-day course will provide officers with an understanding of the powers available and how to lawfully use them.
This half-day CPD accredited course will provide an understanding of the legislation surrounding Community Protection Notices and how they can be used in practical terms. The course will also look at understanding the evidential requirements and enforcement action that can be taken when a Community Protection Notice is breached.
